Pickleball King of the Court uses multiple courts ranked from 1 to N, with court N being the King Court. Each round, teams play one match per court. Winners move up one court, losers drop down one court. The winner of the King Court stays at the top. Extra players wait in a challenger pool and rotate in each round.
PadelBracket defaults to a target score of 11 with win by 2 enabled for pickleball King of the Court. You can change the target to 15 or 21 in the setup wizard. Win by 2 ensures there is always a decisive winner so court promotion is always clear. Rally scoring is used throughout.
You need at least 4 players and 1 court. With 2 courts you can run 8 players simultaneously, with 3 courts 12 players, and so on. Players beyond 4 times the number of courts join a challenger pool and rotate in each round, so any group size works.
The player who spends the most rounds on the King Court wins the tournament. Total points scored across all rounds serve as a tiebreaker if two players have the same number of King Court wins.
